The Telecommunications Services Branch requires a billing expert to join their team, to provide analysis and coordination related to the billing function in support of Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) business and service delivery to the Ontario Public Service (OPS) Ministries and Government agencies, boards and commissions (ABC's).

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will:
• Analyze and coordinate the processing of billing activities for networking and telecommunications services and products, as well as monitor the accuracy and integrity of data and calculations.
• Provide revenue analysis, assist in forecasting and preparing regular reports on recoveries and variance reports and administer financial and billing records.
• Identify, investigate and address complex and sensitive billing and transaction issues and resolve issues and/or refer complex and sensitive issues to the Manager.
• Act as liaison with internal and external partners in order to provide training, respond to inquiries and coordinate the gathering of information.
• Contribute to the development of financial and operational systems, develop options and make recommendations to procedures and practices.
• Provide support and back-up to the Billing Lead, coordinate and resolve issues related to payment notifications, credit notes and other billing errors.

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

• You have knowledge of basic accounting and auditing principles, methods and practices.
• You have the ability to acquire and apply knowledge of policies and procedures related to billing accounts administration, reporting and financial control systems.
• You have the ability to acquire knowledge of the chart of accounts.
• You have knowledge of computer applications and systems, including Microsoft Office Excel, and ability to acquire and apply knowledge of financial systems (such as IFIS, Cognos and analytical tools).
• You can prepare year-end revenue documents and various reports.
• You have knowledge of arithmetic and statistical methods.

Analytical and Reasoning Skills:

• You have investigation and analytical skills.
• You can identify and resolve problems.
• You demonstrate analytical skills to analyze a range of information.
• You have evaluative and problem solving skills.
• Your reasoning skills help you to administer finance and billing records.

Organization and Coordination Skills:
