Do you have the skills and experience to manage the contract review process for provincial highway projects? We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our team!

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:

• review regional contracts, drawings and documents prepared by internal and external engineering staff
• resolve deficiencies, deviations or inquiries concerning contract documents
• provide direction to internal and external engineering staff, technical staff, and other authorities and agencies
• ensure correct interpretation, implementation and application of design, contractual standards, policies, and procedures
• act as regional administrator for contract preparation system (CPS), electronic bidding system and cost estimating (HICO) systems
• participate in the Design Implementation Committee.

How do I qualify?

Technical Skills:

• You have experience in highway design, construction practices and procedures.
• You have knowledge of the practices for the preparation of contract documents for highway construction projects, contractual standards and practices as it relates to design and construction.
• You have an understanding of the responsibilities of contractors.

Other Essential Skills:

• You have proven oral and written communication skills.
• You can deal tactfully and effectively with various individuals.
• You have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve deviations from policies and procedures.
• You can meet strict deadlines and coordinate comments from various sections.
