About the job

As a results-oriented individual, you will oversee all functions of a Central Ambulance Communications Centre.

This will require you to:

• Direct, lead and coach staff in meeting your mandate to maintain an effective and responsive land ambulance dispatch and emergency health communications service.
• Guide staff in the establishment, enhancement and maintenance of open, transparent, collaborative, responsive and effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, policies and standard operating practices in the achievement of program, regional and branch goals.
• Take responsibility for a number of staff working rotating shifts of varying lengths in an inherently stressful 24/7 environment.
• Travel occasionally within Ontario
• Coordinate and implement an aggressive emergency health services system improvement plan to:
- Standardize and continuously improve operational business practices,
- Implement technological enhancements focused on operational efficiency and effectiveness, and
- Determine optimal models to improve quality coordinated care for patients.
• Contribute and implement optimization strategies to address:
- Staff training and quality assurance,
- Business improvements,
- Data analytics,
- Policy planning and integration,
- Stakeholder relations
- Market analysis of business improvement software.

Mandatory requirements

• This position requires a minimum valid driver's licence class of G or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario.
