Consider this great opportunity to showcase your facilitation and co-ordination skills to develop and deliver various training programs to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Long-Term Care Inspections Branch.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:

•Coordinate and provide leadership to the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of training programs for the Long-Term Care Inspections Branch.
•Conduct consultations to establish learning objectives and emerging training needs in response to changing policies/programs.
•Research, design, develop and deliver internal training materials including e-learning, in-class instruction and reference guides.
•Investigate alternatives for the delivery of specialized technical training.
•Identify potential service providers and prepare RFP's based on Ontario Public Service and ministry guidelines.
•Evaluate proposals, recommend vendor selection and negotiate contract terms in accordance with established performance.

How do I qualify?

Technical Skills:

•You have comprehensive knowledge and experience in adult education principles/practices, and ability to develop and deliver technical training curriculum and the use of technologies to support programs such as the Long-Term Care Inspections Branch.
• You have knowledge of strategic policy direction, legislative framework, policies, programs and business goals to conduct training needs analysis.

Project Management:

•You have the ability to identify learning needs for business improvement projects.
•You have experience providing technical guidance and expertise to senior management and other stakeholders on training initiatives and guidance to project work teams.
•You have proven experience making recommendations on the effectiveness and impact of training programs.

Organizational Development and Planning Skills:

•Demonstrated planning skills, to develop and deliver training curriculum that supports implementation of service delivery models including strategies, training methods, and tools to support business improvement goals and objectives.
•Knowledge of change management/engagement theories, and practices, and organizational development skills to conduct training program design and development projects and produce deliverables within established timeframes.

Communication, Facilitation and Relationship Management Skills:

•Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to prepare/deliver reports, training and associated communication products.
•Facilitation skills to work with stakeholders to develop and implement projects and programs, clarify problems, seek stakeholder input, identify causes and solutions, create action plans with clear deliverables and timelines.
•Well-developed interpersonal skills to deal with contentious issues and manage stakeholder relationships.

Computer Skills:

•You are proficient with software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, distance learning platforms such as Adobe Connect and WebEx and eLearning software such as Adobe Captivate.
