About the job

In this role you will:
• plan and manage all operations at Crysler Park Marina and Beach as a distinct business unit, ensuring high quality, efficient, and profitable product that meets or exceeds business plan objectives
• provide supervisory, administrative and technical direction to staff
• participate in strategic business planning and analysis, ensuring an effective delivery of services and budget control
• provides technical advice on marina management and applicable legislation as the subject matter expert

What you bring to the team


Mandatory requirements

You have:
• A valid Ontario Class G driver's licence or equivalent to drive on Ontario highways.

KNOWLEDGE

You have knowledge and experience in:
• tourism, marina management and operations as well as marketing and food service operations
• computer systems and marina applications
• business planning methods and knowledge of emerging industry best practices in the areas of marina management;
• project management, change management and issues management to successfully manage projects from start to completion

COMMUNICATION, ORGANIZATIONAL AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS

You have:
• strong communication skills (written and oral) to plan and develop policies and procedures associated with marina operations
• organizational and time management skills as well as demonstrated experience with project management methods to plan, direct, implement and evaluate multiple, concurrent project initiatives from concept to completion within established deadlines, budgets and deliverables
• ability to guide front line supervisors in scheduling and resource management to ensure marina operations are fully covered

LEADERSHIP, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

You have:
• strong leadership skills to provide guidance and direction to staff regarding best practices for customer and visitor service; proven ability to provide leadership and motivation to staff
• demonstrated business relationship skills to develop and manage relationships and cooperative efforts with customers and partners; demonstrated experience you have managed stakeholder relationships to successful outcomes
