What can I expect to do in this role?

Play a lead role in the delivery of CBIA deliverables for the Electronic Provider Services (EPS) Program project. The EPS Program project includes the development of a new and innovative system/solution for WSIB services providers, workers and the WSIB staff. As a member of the CBIA project team, participate in the planning and execution of of information management and analytics project tasks to support the EPS Program project while providing oversight and expertise on the existing Health Services Reporting and Analytics' portfolio.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory:

1. Education (Level and Specialty / Discipline):
• University degree in public policy and administration, business, law, or economics.
2. Experience (Years of Related Experience and Type of Experience):
• 5 years progressive experience in Health Care
• 5 years' experience with demonstrated ability to identify issues, understand the impact on WSIB objectives and business processes, and assessing the implications involved in making changes
• 3 years of experience leading business analysis and analytics
• Knowledge and experience with strategic planning models, methods and best practices
• Proven experience using analytical and problem-solving techniques and methodologies
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating corporate changes
• Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
• Political acumen and diplomacy
3. Technical or Professional Qualifications or Certifications / Designations:
• Project management training or related experience
• Advance level of experience with Microsoft Office products
• Advance programing skills in SQL, Oracle, Java, Cognos
• Experience with Data Modelling and ETL design

Major Responsibilities:

1. Identify, analyze and define the data and reporting requirements for the EPS Program project:
• Provide CBIA Management with strategic analysis related to the project as it relates to current and future state
• Prepare briefings, as required, that include options and recommendations to inform senior management decision-making.
• Conduct system and data impact assessments required by the EPS Program project
• Build and maintain network of internal and external experts
2. Manage the Health Services reporting and analytics portfolio
• Lead, facilitate and document reporting requirements (including sessions) with business area
• Prepare Health Services data for the EPS project
• Deliver insightful analytics on Health Services information
• Complete process maps and gap assessments for both current and future state
• Play a lead role in enhancing current portfolio to minimize trend breaks with new system
• Participate in data management activities such as verifying data models, complete data mappings and data lineage
• Ensure alignment with the reporting and analytics' portfolio to the project requirements. When necessary, recommend adjustments
3. Evaluate CBIA EPS Project plans, progress and performance against overall EPS Program objectives and key data benchmarks:
• Compare key Health metrics with benchmark performance, analyze deviations and report findings
• Facilitate an enterprise view (inputs from other areas) on the impact of developments in the Health Services operating environment
• Plan, design and develop new information and analytic products to optimize business operations
• Lead and facilitate current state and to be state process analysis to identify opportunities for the EPS Program
4. Prepare the WSIB response to a request for information from Executive Management and/or external stakeholders:
• Lead or assist with cross-cluster initiatives of strategic significance
• Prepare briefings and presentations for delivery by Executive Management to key committees
• Respond to ad hoc information requests from internal and external stakeholders related to EPS program
• Act as a subject matter expert on Provide and other Health Services data and processes
5. Other duties as assigned.
