What can I expect to do in this role?

We are seeking a self-motivated individual and team-player to provide strategic financial planning and forecasting, as well as statistical modelling and economic and policy-related analysis, research and project work. You will apply your skills and expertise to provide comprehensive analysis and reporting on operations, variances, trends and business issues. You will be writing monthly economic conditions reports and be responsible for the MD&A section of the LCBO Annual Report.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate a strong foundation in financial and economic analysis and modelling through a combination of post-secondary education and/or related business experience
• Be a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills to clearly communicate ideas both in writing and in oral presentations
• Have demonstrated research and analytical skills
• Possess good judgement and political acuity
• Have strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Be a deadline driven self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight timelines
• Be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Publisher (experience with statistical applications, Microstrategy and/or Tableau is desirable.
