The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) is seeking a proven leader to develop and oversee the delivery of I&IT based business solutions, systems and customer services to support EQAO business areas.

Technical knowledge:

You have:
• demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of I&IT operations including common business systems, technology infrastructure and operational services
• knowledge of I&IT client service delivery alternatives
• demonstrated knowledge of technical I&IT systems including hardware platforms, software alternatives, networks, databases, applications and security systems
• expertise in systems analysis, systems design and development to develop effective I&IT based business solutions

Leadership and management skills:

You have:
• demonstrated leadership skills to oversee the planning, development and implementation of I&IT operations and the client service delivery framework
• human resources management skills to provide direction to staff
• relationship management skills to initiate, foster and manage ongoing relationships with I&IT cluster management, staff and EQAO executives
• demonstrated contract management skills to negotiate and manage contracts with external I&IT vendors, contractors and service providers
• demonstrated project management skills to lead and oversee systems and business solution design and development projects
• judgement to analyze and problem solve I&IT operational and service delivery issues, identify solutions and opportunities to effectively support business initiatives, recommend improvements to processes and infrastructure

Policy knowledge:

You have:
• the ability to acquire knowledge of corporate procedures related to the establishment of organizational I&IT operations, and the delivery of I&IT client services
• knowledge of I&IT procedures related to support processes, resource acquisition, account management, contract management, data administration, data access and records management

Communication, negotiation and consultation skills:

You have:
• oral communication skills to maintain effective liaison with all levels of contacts and provide consultative advice and expertise to the CEO and senior management
• demonstrated written communication skills to prepare reports, briefing notes and operational plans
• presentation and consultation skills to promote I&IT opportunities and benefits to EQAO senior management
• negotiation skills to finalize and manage service contracts with I&IT external service providers
