About the job
You will:
- prepare and review new client application files
- provide administrative office support
- provide quality customer service to clients at front counter and reception, responding to general inquiries in either French or English (in person, by phone or email)
- process contracts and enter information into data base systems
- process office accounts payables and receivables
- prepare a variety of correspondence
- provide financial and budget management support services
- respond to inquiries from clients regarding employment programs and services
- work closely with unit staff to respond to and coordinate ministry requests for information and reporting requirements
- take meeting minutes and track correspondence
What you bring to the team
Mandatory requirement:
- Proficiency in English and in the French language (oral at the advanced and written at the advanced minus level)Knowledge:
- understanding of employment services and related programs and roles
- knowledge of administrative and financial practices and proceduresCommunication and interpersonal skills:
- demonstrated communication skills to gather information and explain procedures to clients and staff and prepare reports
