The Ontario Digital Service (ODS) is tackling complex public problems with digital approaches. We are building a people-centred approach to the design and delivery of government services, programs and policy.

What you bring to the team

Technical Knowledge

• You have knowledge of open source web technologies (for example, NGINX, Linux, Apache, MySQL,PHP, PostgreSQL) , web content management solutions (for example, Drupal, WordPress), open source search solutions (for example, Elasticsearch), semantic accessible HTML5, CSS/SCSS, jQuery, Javascript, NodeJS, Angular, Vue, Express, MongoDB, and other emerging web technologies and cloud delivery / deployment models, to develop products that are forward-thinking and ensure a positive user experience for Ontarians.
• You have experience in integrating systems and components using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• You have advanced knowledge of theory and principles of systems design and development to provide leadership in the design, development, testing and implementation of systems solutions.
• You are well versed in, and have experience applying industry best practices to your work that can be adopted by others.

Leadership

• You can provide leadership in researching best practices to establish and maintain high standards for products.
• You have experience leading large scale, complex projects and initiatives with high levels of autonomy.
• You have experience providing leadership, and guiding the work of team members/colleagues, for example, training, mentoring and supporting the development of others.

Communications

• You have strong communications skills to participate in team discussions, make solution recommendations and document/explain work.
