About the job
In this role you will:
• Provide plumbing trade services in all park lands and eastern operations facilities
• Coordinate, inspect and report on the work of plumbing contractors
What you bring to the team
Mandatory requirements
• Licenced journeyman plumber, recognized by Ontario College of Trades
• A valid Ontario Class G driver's licence or equivalent to drive on Ontario highways.
KNOWLEDGE
You have:
• Sound knowledge of the tools, equipment, methods and practices of the plumbing trades in both residential and commercial settings
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations as it pertains to the work performed
• Knowledge of current plumbing practices, methods and products in order to identify cost savings and complete work as economically as possible
• Knowledge and experience with water wells, pumps and pressure systems
• Basic knowledge and experience with the operation of septic tanks, pump chambers and basic sewage systems operation
TEAMWORK, ORGANIZATION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS
You have:
• Project management skills to manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion
• Ability to work from plans and diagrams
• Teamwork and organization skills to work in a team environment to coordinate work activities and deliver services within established timeframes
OTHER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions and to report orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
• Sound computer literacy to work with Microsoft Office applications
• Physical ability to perform the manual work associated with the position
