If so, this is a great opportunity for you to combine these strengths to provide analytical support to Forest Management Planning teams in Ontario by working for Regional Operations Division (ROD). ROD is a large, diverse, geographically dispersed organization that is responsible for the implementation of Forest Management Planning in Ontario.

What you bring to the team


Analytical and Research Skills:

• You have research, analytical and interpretative skills to perform quantitative and statistical analyses on geospatial and tabular datasets to support forest modelling and analyses.

Computer Skills:

• You have computer and querying skills associated with database management systems and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills to use spatial data.
You have used spreadsheets, database software, programming languages and GIS software.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

• You possess interpersonal, organizational and prioritization skills to carry out work assignments and work cooperatively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• You have well developed communication skills including experience preparing reports and presentations.

Technical Knowledge:

• You possess knowledge of data management principles, standards and best practices to assemble and process digital resource management data.
• You have a general knowledge of quantitative methods, statistical analyses, and spatial analyses to assist with forest modelling and analysis.
• You have an understanding of the legislation, theory, principles and practices of forest management planning in Ontario.

• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada;
