In this role you will provide financial planning, administration and data controllership to support the financial, human resources, capital planning and accommodations programs for the Central West Region Office of the Director of Crown Operations
About the job
You will:
•coordinate the financial analysis, administration and reconciliation for the Office of the Director of Crown Operations
multi-million dollar budget
•conduct monthly analysis of expenditures, identify all discrepancies and initiate appropriate actions to rectify discrepancies
•ensure financial compliance and administer the processing of invoices, journal entries and cost recovery processes
•support the development and preparation of budgets and the roll-up of the Regional forecasts for all local Crown Attorney Offices
•provide financial advice and administrative support in procurement processes
•participate in local working committees
•provide financial administrative back-up to the Regional Manager and support to the local Operations Managers
What you bring to the team
Financial Expertise:
You have:
•demonstrated knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices to prepare budgets, options and recommendations
•knowledge of accounts payable to process transactions and cost recoveries
•knowledge of mathematics to review and reconcile invoices and expenditures claims
•knowledge of financial and legal terminology in order to effectively process documentation regarding the overpayment and cost recovery process
Interpersonal, Research and Analytical Skills:
You have:
•proven research, analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills to prepare a variety of financial reports
•organizational and planning skills to prioritize own workload and meet set deadlines
•demonstrated interpersonal and consultative skills to provide technical guidance and support to the regional manager and managers/administrators within the region
Technical Skills:
You have:
•strong computer skills related to financial, presentation, word processing and spreadsheet software and database operations to compile information, prepare reports and support the collection requirements
