About the job

To provide support to Corporate Services and Marketing departments including procurement, financial reporting, budget, general administration and variety of ongoing corporate services projects as determined by the Director of Corporate Services.

Mandatory requirements

• Valid Class G driver's licence.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
You have:

• Ability to learn, understand and work with government purchasing policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience in the purchasing, finance, accounting and clerical fields. Knowledge of automated financial systems as well as the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).

COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
You have:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with staff and suppliers in a professional, tactful and effective way.

COMPUTER, ORGANIZATIONAL AND ANALYTICAL SKILLS
You have:
• Working knowledge of computerized financial management systems, Purchasing and Accounts Payable Modules, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Ability to work on own initiative in a high-paced environment with many project deadlines. Strong organizational skills to keep track of high volume of work, ability to multi-task and follow up on outstanding items.

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare effective financial performance reports, charts and graph as well as Ability to prepare budgets and assist in the development of business plans, business cases, and other accountability reports. Solid understanding or the ability to learn generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
