About the job

Under the general supervision of the Senior Manager, Marketing and within established policies, procedures and guidelines: performs duties to develop relationships with travel media and social media travel influencers, developing media programs that support Niagara Parks brand story delivery across earned media channels, preparing for and attending major travel media tradeshows with associated follow-up, conducting desk-side appointments with prominent traditional media outlets and personalities, conducting media familiarization tours of Niagara Parks, and communicating and coordinating related activities with media, customers and Niagara Parks staff as necessary. Ensures top Niagara Parks storylines are promoted through consistent editorial pitches; social media channel participation and content production, and influencer/blogger relationship management. The successful candidate will also have experience developing and monitoring multimedia content and performance across digital marketing channels.

Mandatory requirements

Completion of an Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Commerce (Marketing) or a related field, a College Diploma in Public Relations or Communications considered a strong asset. Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of previous tourism/hospitality industry related experience, and/or marketing/public relations activities in a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong proficiency in social media and digital content production, monitoring, and reporting required General knowledge about the Niagara Parks Commission and its attractions, restaurants, retail operations and other services considered to be an asset.
