About the job

Our Risk & Insurance Office is looking for two Risk Management Specialist to collaboratively coordinate the risk management and insurance program, and to assist the business operations to identify, and address internal and external threats and opportunities that may impact the organizations performance and business objectives.

What you bring to the team


Key Responsibilities:

• Develops and conducts risk and change management training; provides training relating to risk assessment, evaluation, change management, and processes required to identify controls,
• Participates, as part of the Risk Management Team, in the ongoing planning, development, implementation and support of Metrolinx's Enterprise Risk Management program. 
• Reviews best practices, to develop, maintain and enhance risk management tools and techniques for use by Metrolinx. 
• Participates and works in cross-functional teams and various business operations to assist in the development and facilitation of risk analysis.
• Provides consultation to business operations in assessing potential threats and opportunities, and in developing appropriate risk responses through mitigation and contingency plans. 
• Participates in risk assessment process to help business operations in identification, assessment, prioritization, mitigation and reporting of risks, particularly critical risks. 
• Monitors and reports high risks to major stakeholders. 
• Develops, maintains and updates electronic system and database to support the collection, analysis and reporting of risk information. 
• Reviews best practices, to develop, maintain and enhance financial/quantitative risk analysis tools and techniques for business planning, budgeting, business case analysis and portfolio management.

Qualifications:

• University Degree, preferably in a relevant field or a specialized technical certification, or a combination of equivalent years of experience 
• Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation is preferred 
• Minimum 6 years of related experience in the Risk Management and Finance area 
• Experience in developing and conducting risk management training  Experience in change management is an asset 
• Ability to provide recommendations on established processes, policies and procedures 
• Ability to identify key implementation risks and issues, and conduct necessary analysis to resolve risk factors
