At the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) we provide highly specialized trauma-informed mental health and developmental services. These services include Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education. We work with local community services, building on what they have already done and use evidence based practices and adapt our approach to the unique needs of each child. CPRI is looking for a Psychologist to perform psychological clinical services, assist in the development, coordination and evaluation of psychology programs, lead research and education initiatives and provide group leadership.

About the job

In this role, you will:

• Establish, supervise and evaluate treatment programs
• Provide consultation services to community agencies and professionals
• Lead applied clinical research and program evaluation initiatives
• Prepare reports for the care and treatment of individual clients

Mandatory requirements

• You are currently registered as a Psychologist in Ontario (or will be eligible for registration in the next 12 months).

Knowledge

• You have knowledge and experience in providing treatment, assessment, and diagnosis services to children and their families
• You have knowledge and experience in counselling, training and educating groups of children and parents

    You will be responsible for obtaining the criminal record check at your own expense and provide it, along with your written consent, to the Transition and Security Office (TSO), Talent Acquisition Branch (TAB), HR Service Delivery Division (HRSDD) to evaluate the results. If applicable, the TSO, with your written consent, will request and obtain any additional employment screening checks that were not obtained directly by you. (Note: If a Vulnerable Sector Screening Check is required, it must also be obtained in person at your local police service).

    A record under the Criminal Code and/or other federal offence record(s) does not automatically mean you will be ineligible for the position. The employment screening check(s) will only be reviewed and evaluated by the TSO for the purpose of making a security clearance decision. Employment screening check records will be maintained by the TSO and kept strictly confidential.
