The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, Ontario Provincial Police, and the Commander, Fleet, Supply and Weapons Services Bureau are seeking a qualified person to coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations in an OPP vehicle garage by scheduling work, completing service checklist prior to vehicle delivery. Vehicle types include cars, trucks, snowmobiles, trailers, personal watercraft, boats, motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles

Ability to pass an OPP background security investigation.
Must have a valid Automobile Mechanic's Licence Class 310S
Must possess a valid Class G Driver's Licence in good standing.
What you bring to the team
Mandatory requirements
Knowledge of automotive technology, techniques and specialized equipment including winches and hydraulic systems to review vehicle fitness prior to delivery.
Planning and organizational skills to schedule vehicle maintenance and to ensure timely scheduling and coordination of repairs, maintenance and delivery of vehicles.
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, digital pictures, scanning, and drawing software (e.g. Paint, Excel and PowerPoint) to produce a variety of materials and documents.
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHIMS to safely perform a service checklist prior to the delivery of vehicles.
Oral, written and interpersonal skills to coordinate service with external providers, document work and to resolve problems.
Problem solving, analytical and evaluation skills to review mechanical and electrical diagnoses and troubleshooting, assessing results and determining the nature of the problem and to assess whether repairs can be made or equipment replaced.
Ability to make decisions in accordance with policies and guidelines, regarding scheduling of vehicle maintenance and repair.
