About the job

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing data visualizations and dashboards to communicate ministry-wide operational outcomes;
• Identifying and monitoring ministry outcomes, and providing advice and assistance to corporate partners and program areas to both develop and use key performance measures;
• Providing advisory supports to diverse business lines to support developing and implementing key performance-measurement frameworks across the ministry;
• Researching and communicating emerging issues and trends related to data, analytics and program performance measurement;
• Working collaboratively with ministry contacts to coordinate responses to corporate requests.

What you bring to the team


Technical Knowledge:

You have:
• Knowledge of performance-measurement and evaluation techniques and methodologies;
• Experience with data governance and working with complex datasets, data visualization and analytics to create dashboards and scorecards;
• The ability to acquire knowledge of ministry corporate issues, concerns and trends;
• Knowledge of public service decision-making and accountability frameworks.

Analytical and Research Skills:

You have:
• Research, analytical, and conceptual skills to anticipate, identify, analyze, and evaluate complex situations and issues;
• Problem-solving skills to balance competing interests to develop solutions and recommendations for relevant key outcomes for programs and services;
• Experience developing logic models, performance measures and program evaluation frameworks and/or similar tools to articulate and track outcomes.

Communication, Interpersonal and Influencing Skills:

You have:
• Presentation and writing/editing skills to lead the research, development, and preparation of documents for senior management;
• The ability to work collaboratively across program and organizational boundaries;
• Consultation and facilitation skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior management on key performance measures.

Leadership and Project Management Skills:

You have:
• Knowledge of project management techniques to plan and lead initiatives;
• Experience coordinating, leading and providing guidance to project teams;
• Planning and organizational skills to address competing priorities.
