The Talent Acquisition Branch (TAB) brings critical talent expertise to optimize sourcing, assessing, diversifying and deploying talent in hiring for non-executive positions across the Ontario Public Service (OPS).

About the job

You will:

• lead the planning and delivery of end-to-end recruitment services;
• support hiring managers with a strong focus on inclusive hiring practices to achieve the OPS's inclusion and diversity and anti-racism objectives and goals;
• provide expert advice and coaching to hiring managers on making the best hiring decisions;
• develop talent acquisition strategies to enable ministries to meet current and future staffing needs;
• lead the proactive sourcing of candidates using a variety of innovative, modern strategies.

What you bring to the team


Technical Expertise:

• You have demonstrated knowledge of theories, principles and best practices in inclusive recruitment strategies, candidate sourcing, writing job advertisements, creating interview and assessment materials, and managing selection and hiring processes.
• You are able to develop inclusive talent acquisition strategies to meet clients' current and emerging business needs.
• You can interpret collective agreements, legislation and policies relating to recruitment.

Partnership and People Skills:

• You have proven consultation, collaboration and influencing skills to build trusted-advisor relationships and can support client management to adopt recruitment modernization initiatives.
• You are committed to exceeding customer expectations.
• You communicate clearly and convincingly orally and in writing, and are a compelling presenter.
• You can effectively lead the implementation of new inclusive outreach and strategic recruitment initiatives and contribute to forums for the identification of common trends and issues.
• You can work effectively in a fast-paced, virtual team environment.

Analytical, Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills:

• Your strong analytical and problem solving skills allow you to respond to challenging recruitment issues and provide strategic, value-added advice.
• You have planning, organizational and time management skills to manage a high volume of work with conflicting demands, ensuring service standards are met.
