Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) provides trauma-informed and highly specialized services for children and youth of Ontario who experience complex and long-standing combinations of mental health difficulties and/or developmental challenges where these difficulties significantly impact functioning in multiple areas such as home, school and community and appropriate community interventions have not produced the desired response. CPRI provides services that are based on a partnership model with community service providers. Our services include Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education in both outpatient and inpatient services. CPRI is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist, who will lead by example as you bring your clinical leadership and assessment capabilities to this collaborative role.

About the job

• Provide speech language services in the form of assessment, consultation planning, and follow-up to clients of CPRI using interventions and specific professional expertise and skills;
• Consult and liaise with other disciplines, family and community partners as required, to establish appropriate programming and follow-up;
• Record and report in accordance with CPRI and program policy; and,
• Provide clinical leadership, capacity building and consultation to speech language pathologists, interdisciplinary team members, educational institutions and community agencies.

Mandatory requirements

• You are registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
• You are willing to work a flexible schedule

Knowledge

• You have knowledge and experience in clinical speech language pathology including assessment, clinical intervention, and consultation
• You have knowledge of diagnostic and treatment practices utilized by related disciplines

Communication Skills

• You have well developed verbal and written communication skills
• You can communicate and interact well with clients, parents, guardians, other professionals, and community agencies
• You have interpersonal skills to collaboratively work with and participate within a interdisciplinary team and effectively relate to various members of the clinical team
