In this new exciting role, you will provide leadership and work as key member of a diverse team to transform Employment Ontario to ensure job seekers and businesses are provided with the best possible employment services.

About Us
The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development's Employment and Training Division (ETD) contributes to a prosperous and stable economy by supporting the delivery of integrated employment and training programs and services through Employment Ontario.

The Employment Ontario network is designed to assist everyone including individuals seeking skills upgrades or employment, and employers and businesses looking to develop their workforce and support their current and prospective employees.

The division's Program Delivery Support Branch (PDSB) leads the implementation and continuous improvement of employment and training programs by providing division-wide strategies, program stewardship, tools and guidance.

Employment Services Transformation (EST) is key to realizing the province's vision for integrated delivery of employment services, where clients have efficient, effective and streamlined access to supports. The goal of EST is to move the system towards one that is easy to use, locally relevant, and result in better outcomes for workers, employers and communities. Jobseekers will be provided with a clear path to employment, while also supporting employers in finding the right workers with the right skills. Employment services will also be delivered in a way that better meets the needs of the local economy.

The Employment Services Transformation Secretariat provides leadership for the integrated planning and implementation of this high profile initiative, ensuring there is strategic direction, alignment, collaboration, and coordination for inter-dependent components of the project across the Ministry and with partner ministries, stakeholders, and service delivery providers. As the lead accountable for the successful implementation of the Transformation initiative, the Secretariat is responsible for effective governance, stakeholder engagement, transition planning, communications and change management. The Secretariat drives project deliverable completion, builds capacity within the ministry to assume its commissioning and system stewardship role, while ensuring mitigation strategies are in place to address operational delivery and stakeholder risks.

At the Employment Services Transformation Secretariat and PDSB, we offer the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment which embraces the diversity of our staff as a strength that is critical to our success. As such, we work together to actively and purposefully address any forms of systemic discrimination and bias. We are focused on working collaboratively with key partners to identify innovative and inclusive approaches, deliver on ministry priorities, and meet the employment and training needs of Ontarians.

If you are looking to work with a collaborative team environment of dedicated professionals to support key government priorities, please join us at the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, Employment and Training Division.

PLEASE NOTE: Depending on the successful candidate the position can work from any of the posted addresses.
