Bring your leadership and project management skills to the Health Data Branch of the Ministry of Health.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead project teams in overseeing data acquisition/collection projects and the development and delivery of information management and reporting products to the health system.

As Project Manager, you will:
• provide project leadership and manage the complete lifecycle of multi-faceted data and information projects and support the transition to operations
• provide direction and advice to support project teams, stakeholders and partners
• Resolve complex issues and manage interdependencies across related projects

What you bring to the team

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• You have project management skills including knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques, and tools to manage projects and ensure that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met to support completion of data and information solution projects.
• You have knowledge of theories, principles and techniques of information management, data collection, reporting and related technology
• You can interpret and apply legislation and acts such as Personal Health Information Protection Act, Freedom of information and Protection of Privacy Act to assess and recommend information management practices or develop new policies and practices in their implementation.

LEADERSHIP, RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS:

• You have leadership, relationship management and customer service skills to lead project teams, managers and external resources on project plans and status and to promote collaboration among team members.
• You have customer relationship management skills to provide advice, guidance, assistance and education to clients who are usually not experienced with information management & reporting principles, applications, tools, and processes.

COMMUNICATION AND COMPUTER SKILLS:

• You can advise and provide information to stakeholders regarding information management & reporting processes.
• You can prepare reports and presentations.
• You can provide recommendations to senior management and staff on policies and procedures to resolve operational problems.
• You have proficiency with computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases to prepare and edit reports, correspondence and summaries.

ANALYTICAL AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:

• You can identify, research and assess appropriate information management & reporting solutions to plan and coordinate knowledge transfer processes by ensuring business needs of clients are met.
• You can develop appropriate performance measures by analyzing project progress, quality and recommending alternative approaches.
