About the job
You will:
• Provide filing services for the Court Services Division, using numerical and colour-coded filing systems
• Pull and dispatch files as requested by staff, including bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and physically moving files throughout the courthouse
• Maintain a file control system for court records and track misplaced files
• Assume responsibility for opening vaults at the beginning of each day
• Box and archive files as per records retention schedule
• Assist in the court office by performing related clerical duties

What you bring to the team
Administrative Knowledge:
• You have demonstrated knowledge of various filing systems and record keeping and administrative functions relating to file procedures, including applicable retention schedules
• You are able to operate common office equipment
Organizational Skills:
• You have organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills to sort loose leaf, organize your workload and to process high volumes of information without error
• You are able to work independently
Communication Skills:
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and are able to deal tactfully with other staff members and the public
