Bring your professional contract management and procurement knowledge skills to Supply Chain Ontario with the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery. Join a portfolio team dedicated to delivering strategic value for money in service delivery management, relationship management and contract management.

Four temporary positions will be filled across the following two Branch's, working on either Facilities Services, Human Capital or Professional Services portfolios:
• Category & Sourcing Execution Branch
• Pandemic Supply Chain Operations Branch

The Division
Supply Chain Ontario develops and implements an integrated corporate procurement strategy to: leverage and optimize government procurement of goods and services; identify and implement procurement process improvements; enhance procurement controllership; provide strategic advice to Management Board of Cabinet on large scale procurements; develop innovative policy frameworks to support service delivery through third party service providers.

About the job

In this high-profile ministry, you will:

• manage a portfolio of multiple government-wide roster of supplier contracts for a variety of goods or services
• lead analysis and advice on supply and market issues, business practices, and contract management processes
• provide subject matter expertise on specific commodities, services, and anticipate future needs
• support senior staff in procurement strategy development; and continuous improvement projects
• contribute to the planning, development and implementation of procurement operational policies, procedures, best practices and guidelines
• build and maintain business relationships with Ontario Public Service buyers, suppliers and broader public sector stakeholders including resolving arising issues

Flexible work arrangements including flexible hours and telework. Note, these positions are currently required to work a hybrid of in-office and work from home.

What you bring to the team


Procurement/Contract Management Knowledge

• You have the ability to interpret and apply knowledge of purchasing and contracting policies, procedures and contracts.
• You have demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of stakeholder liaison and contract management to provide contract management expertise and to coordinate the administration of contracts.
• You have knowledge in developing and evaluating supplier key performance measures.

Communication/Customer Service Skills

• You can develop and maintain contract user guides and performance measurement related materials.
• You can develop relationships with clients/stakeholders and build partnerships.
• You can advise clients about procurement policies, processes and services.
• You can prepare briefing notes and manage and resolve issues.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

• You can analyze trends in goods and services and advise on supply and market issues, and changing client needs.
• You have interpreted contracts, policies and assess supplier performance.
• You have mediated and resolved potential contract management issues.

Project Management/Team Leadership Skills

• You can coordinate the operational administration of contracts/agreements, and supplier contracts.
• You can lead commodity needs assessment working groups and procurement related projects.
• You have demonstrated experience organizing and managing multiple activities and meeting deadlines.
