About the job

As a Lead Systems Analyst, you will:
• Provide analysis and assist in the gathering and creation of client requirements to design, develop, implement and maintain cost-effective information technology solutions and services.
• Provide leadership to complete the testing phase and implementation verification of system components, including development of test plans and scripts.
• Provide business systems consulting expertise to clients on the use of information technology.
• Assist in the preparation of project plans, and provide estimates on cost and resource requirements.
• Organize on-going support of systems and applications.

What you bring to the team


Technical Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in, the analysis and identification of business requirements, systems design, and development, testing and implementation of systems solutions.
• You have knowledge of business systems and data analytics technologies to provide leadership in the identification and evaluation of information technology options for clients and in the development of new systems or systems modifications.

Analytical, Problem-Solving and Research Skills:

• You can assess clients' business priorities and needs.
• You can propose IT solutions which are cost-effective and improve client program/service delivery.
• You can maintain current knowledge of trends and advances in information technology, with a focus on data analytics across various computing platforms, including new development, analysis and design techniques.

Communication Skills:

• You can provide technical expertise and advice in systems analysis and design, data requirements, and user application and systems specifications requirements.
• You can facilitate a discussion to identify client requirements, options and technical processes among the project team.
• You can develop training material and deliver training for end-users.
• You can prepare project reports, system documentation, business cases, and presentations to convey concepts, research and analysis results and recommendations.

Knowledge of Project Planning Methodology:

• You can assist in the preparation of project plans, cost/benefit analysis and schedules.
• You can monitor project activity and provide status reports.
• You can provide analysis on projects in relation to the business needs of clients and service delivery requirements.
