About the job

In this role, you will:
• Monitor agreements ensuring adherence to established terms, conditions and pricing.
• Assist clients in the planning and acquisition of software resources, including costing.
• Guide clients in the preparation of appropriate documents to support new procurements or renewals and the management of software and hardware assets.
• Coordinate approvals with respect to tracking software licences and contract support for ITS clients.
• Participate in the development of quality assurance strategies and process, procurement planning and acquisitions as well as best practices to continually improve the ITS Software Asset Management program and ensure compliance with contracts.

What you bring to the team


Technical Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of business and performance management and evaluation techniques to implement contract administration and quality assurance processes.
• You have knowledge of project lifecycle and best practices, project deliverables and cost categories and I&IT project management.
• You have knowledge of current licensing practices and techniques as well as software asset management to administer contracts, assist with planning effective and efficient acquisition of software licenses and to manage technology assets.
• You have knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes to develop, evaluate, acquire and manage contracts with vendors.

Financial and Analytical Skills:

• You have financial skills to prepare cost and benefit analysis for proposed expenditures.
• You have analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and analyze solutions for improvement and the resulting impact on key performance measures, resource allocation and cost benefit.

Communication Skills:

• You have negotiation and consensus building skills to provide advice and expertise on contract management to clients and vendors.
• You demonstrate customer service orientation to take a customer-centric view of the products and services provided.
• You have oral, written communication, consultative and interpersonal skills to make effective contributions to working groups through communications and maintain cooperative working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Organization Skills:

• You have organization, multi-tasking and coordination skills to process and track various asset-related activities and deal with multiple parties at the same time.
