Come and lend your knowledge of Administration, Human Resources and solid customer service skills to the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, where you will provide administrative services and support to the Office of the Director.

About the job

In this role, you will:
• receive, organize, type and prepare all correspondence/reports
• attend meetings to take minutes and prepare/distribute minutes
• prepare, process and verify a variety of human resources documents
• provide information, advice, explanations and/or presentations to line managers or employees
• analyze and provide statistical data reports

What you bring to the team


Knowledge & Experience

• You have good knowledge of office procedures, and the ability to manage a high volume of incoming requests
• You are able to organize the busy schedule of the Director and prioritize a number of competing requests
• You have good knowledge of relevant human resource policies, procedures and collective agreements that govern HR administration activities
• You can provide timely and effective human resources related support in the areas recruitment, pay and position administration and attendance administration

Analytical, Problem Solving and Administrative Skills

• You have excellent knowledge of office and administrative procedures and practices and strong organizational skills
• You can identify discrepancies and take corrective action by evaluating alternatives, reviewing precedents, and selecting the appropriate application for individual situations

Communication & Interpersonal Service Skills

• You possess excellent oral communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
• You have good written communication skills

Computer Skills

• You have knowledge of computer software including organizational charts, spreadsheets, word-processing and corporate reporting database software e.g. Workforce Information Network
