The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development's Employment and Training Division supports programs and services that ensure a skilled workforce.
The Employment and Training Division lead the regional operational delivery of programs and services in the employment and training space including workforce development, apprenticeship, employment, training, and responding to local changes in the labour market. We are focused on working collaboratively with external partners to meet the employment and training needs of Ontarians.

About the job
In a multi-stakeholder environment, you will:• administer new and expanded training and employment programs
• provide program planning and support in response to emerging priorities and local labour market conditions and trends
• recommend, approve and monitor programs and financial support
• promote community employment and training programs
• provide consultation and advice to stakeholders regarding programs and services
What you bring to the team
Analytical, Problem-solving and Research Skills
• You have demonstrated problem-solving skills, can identify risks and work collaboratively to implement solutions for difficult problems.
• You have demonstrated research, analytical and evaluative skills to assess projects' alignment with respect to legislation/regulatory requirements and/or service quality standards.
• You can operate successfully in a program delivery environment and evaluate compliance with legislative and program guidelines.
• You have the ability to research and analyze economic labour trends (provincial and/or regional).
Communication, Presentation and Interpersonal Skills
• You have oral and written communication skills and presentation skills that includes the ability to listen, consolidate information, deliver information to diverse stakeholder audiences.
• You know how to provide quality customer service to a variety of diverse stakeholders.

• You have experience using common computer software such as word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database applications to track and organize work, conduct research and prepare documents.
