Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) provides trauma-informed and highly specialized services for children and youth of Ontario who experience complex and long-standing combinations of mental health difficulties and/or developmental challenges where these difficulties significantly impact functioning in multiple areas such as home, school and community and appropriate community interventions have not produced the desired response. CPRI provides services that are based on a partnership model with community service providers. Our services include Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education in both outpatient and inpatient services. CPRI is looking for On-call Housekeeping Cleaners to perform housekeeping and cleaning services and maintain the cleaning standards of the facility.

About the job

• Conduct a variety of cleaning and housekeeping task
• Collect and ensure proper disposal of general waste, recyclables, soiled items, etc.
• Sanitize and disinfect surfaces and areas; use specialized cleaning products for infection control
• Replenish supplies and stock
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Move equipment, furniture, and appliance in order to complete cleaning tasks
• Report equipment malfunction for service
• Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the team


Mandatory requirements

The positions are Irregular On-Call working 0-40 hours per week.

Cleaning Knowledge and Experience

• You have knowledge of and experience with various cleaning methods, techniques, equipment, chemicals and materials
• You have cleaning experience within corporate, institutional, or residential settings
• You have experience with general waste management as well as safe disposal procedures
• You have demonstrated knowledge of and ability to comply with Occupational Health and Safety Standards and WHMIS in order to maintain a safe work environment

Essential Skills

• You have communication skills to interact with staff and clients
• You are able to understand and carry out oral or written instructions
• You can work independently and be self-directed to complete cleaning tasks as well as work effectively within a team
• You have problem-solving skills to determine most appropriate and effective method to perform different cleaning tasks
