Salary:
$82,217.00 - $121,155.00 Per year

Effective April 1, 2024 the salary range for this position is $82,217 to $121,155 per year in compliance with AMAPCEO collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to April 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

About the job

In this role, you will:

• plan, facilitate and lead consultations to identify, map, analyze and evaluate business requirements and processes
• communicate business analysis expertise to technical peers, managers, clients and end users
• analyze, develop, test and implement business systems and change management initiatives
• conduct ongoing business analysis activities and analysis within all phases of the project life cycle
• develop strategies, options analysis, and use cases/user stories, prepare fit-gap analysis, feasibility studies, and proposals and evaluate Request for Services (RFS) for business I&IT initiatives
• demonstrate technical depth and experience in delivering I&IT solutions

What you bring to the team


Technical Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of enterprise business architectural concepts, business requirement management, business analysis methodologies (e.g. digital) and business analysis-related technical and business planning.
• You have contributed to the evolvement of business analysis methodologies and best practices (e.g. discovery).
• You have knowledge of the software development life cycle, software design, development and integration, database concepts, user interface design principles, change management, quality assurance, risk management, disaster recovery planning and business continuity planning.
• You have knowledge of industry technologies and trends including integrated systems environments, infrastructure, business reporting and analytics (e.g. Power BI, Informatica and Cognos).
• You have knowledge of procurement best practices to write business requirements, and specifications and prepare and evaluate RFS and business cases.

Analytical Skills:

• You can evaluate the current state of clients technologies, systems and needs and develop recommendations, options and solutions.
• You can discover and document the current and future proposed state of the client's journey with detailed processes.
• You can effectively match technology solutions to business requirements.
• You can translate complex technical concepts into business friendly communication products.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• You can effectively present and facilitate meetings with a wide range of stakeholders, in an effort to discover information about current and future state of the system processes.
• You can develop and maintain business relationships and provide ongoing advice, guidance and assistance clients.
• You share knowledge with clients effectively in order to promote mutual understanding and collaboration.
• You can build consensus and agreement with stakeholders and clients.
• You present advice and recommendations clearly and persuasively.

Leadership and Project Management Skills:

• You can lead and manage project resources to deliver business analysis and fit-gap activities.
• You can lead projects to implement, change and re-engineer business processes.
• You can lead committees and client dialogues to reach agreement on technological requirements, business prioritization and project impacts.
• You are knowledgeable in change management, service delivery management and project management, including planning, resource management, and risk assessment.
• You have demonstrated the ability to get buy-in from a team to implement new and improved ways of doing things
• You thrive on feedback and are comfortable transforming ideas generated through user research to create a better user experience.
• You have participated in retrospective sessions to identify potential Business Analysis and fit-gap opportunities.
