Effective April 1, 2024 the salary range for this position is $71,563 to $100,052 per year in compliance with AMAPCEO collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to April 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

About the job

You will:
• provide expertise and advice regarding the distribution and availability of publications;
• contribute to the development and monitoring of the inventory budget;
• participate in the development of strategies to centralize warehousing and distribution of full catalogue of print and electronic publications;
• assist the manager in developing specifications, terms of reference and contractual conditions to procure warehouse/distribution service provider(s).

What you bring to the team


Inventory Management, Control and Distribution Knowledge:

You can demonstrate:
• knowledge of policies, processes and best practices governing acquisition, inventory, warehousing and distribution of publications.
• knowledge of full cost recovery methods to provide input into the management of the inventory budget, assess costing scenarios and provide options/recommendations.
• knowledge of inventory management, control and distribution to coordinate and administer warehousing and distribution functions, including planning, scheduling and controlling the inventory database management system.

Communication, Presentation and Computer Skills:

You can demonstrate:
• effective communication skills to provide recommendations, review and enforce contract documents and provide direction.
• the ability to provide leadership of unit activities including determining priorities, developing work plans, providing technical guidance and assigning work and providing input into performance appraisals.
• presentation skills to provide technical expertise and guidance to internal and external clients.
• the ability to use database management systems and desktop software effectively.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

You can demonstrate:
• analytical skills to evaluate consumer demands and client publication needs.
• problem-solving skills effectively to identify issues and develop options/recommendations for resolution.
