Effective January 1st, 2024 the salary range for this position is $1,852.71 to $2,314.51 per week ($96,671.75 - $120,767.82 per year) in compliance with OPSEU Unified Bargaining Unit collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to January 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

As the Lead Developer, you will:
• Provide technical expertise to our team of software developers by leading the design of our solutions
• Work alongside architects to design and implement scalable and sustainable software solutions
• Contribute to hands-on development of product features in alignment with the product strategy using modern technologies
• Mentor and coach software developers to ensure technical excellence
• Participate in the recruitment and hiring of new software developers
What you bring to the team
Technical Knowledge
•
Web Application Development – Demonstrated proficiency developing web-based applications using technologies such as Java Scripts/Angular/React, Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Apache Kafka, real-time and batch processing.
•
Microservices – Experience with modular service, API development and Containerization using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
•
Cloud Technologies – Experience developing Cloud native applications and understanding the benefits and/or constraints of Cloud technologies as it applies to different scenarios.
•
DevOps Practices – You have familiarity with DevOps culture and leveraging DevOps tools such as GitLab, Docker, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.
•
Staying Current – Ability to research emerging technologies, pilot potential application of the technologies, and challenge the status quo.
