If so, then consider this opportunity in the Corporate Coordination Branch where you will use your organizational, policy and project management expertise to lead major ministry and OPS-wide strategy, planning and implementation initiatives.

Effective April 1, 2024 the salary range for this position is $76,231.00 to $109,842.00 per year in compliance with AMAPCEO collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to April 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

About the job

You will:
• provide expertise, advice and guidance to clients on a full range of specialized business management activities, policy development and business improvement initiatives
• develop strategic work plans and objectives to implement OPS and ministry priorities
• lead the development and implementation of new tools, systems, processes and accountability mechanisms related to corporate programs and priorities
• develop communications and marketing strategies and frameworks to support the implementation of major corporate initiatives
• work with partners from across the ministries to collect data and information; and be able to roll-up and report on the information attained
• provide leadership to project teams and support other corporate initiatives, as required
• establish and maintain strong working relationships with key partners and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information flow and identification of issues; present and promote the ministry's position at various forums
• work with a team of professionals in an inclusive environment where diversity is embraced

What you bring to the team

Program Planning and Business Acumen:

• You have program planning and evaluation expertise to coordinate the development of business planning and strategies.
• You have knowledge of the theory and practical application of business management methods to assist in developing and implementing business improvement initiatives.

Project Management:

• You have knowledge of project management, administration and control methodologies to lead ministry-wide projects.

Research, Organization and Analytical:

• You have decision-making skills to develop and provide advice, expertise and solutions to senior management in support of program and project initiatives.
• You have research and evaluation skills to participate in research studies, review options, develop strategies and assess risks.
• You have analytical skills to determine requirements and review work to ensure high quality standards are met.

Communication, Negotiation and Interpersonal:

• You have well developed written and oral communication skills to prepare project plans, reports, business cases, and project-related documents.
• You can build and maintain effective working relationships, and liaise with management, staff and stakeholders, elicit cooperation and provide advice.
