Are you a skilled professional with a passion for computer forensics and a drive to make a meaningful impact? The Ministry of Finance is seeking a well-rounded individual to lead our Forensic Data Recovery Unit. In this critical role, you will lead a team of experts dedicated to retrieving, analyzing, and securing digital evidence. You will ensure the integrity of investigations by uncovering vital information and preserving the chain of evidence for prosecutions, thereby supporting Ministry of Finance investigators and law enforcement partners.

About us:

The Investigations Section of the Compliance Branch is responsible for the enforcement of 15 statutes administered by the Tax Compliance and Benefits Division. It investigates cases of tax evasion, fraudulent grant and tax credit claims, and other serious offences. The Investigations Section also provides specialized investigative services to other ministries, agencies, and law enforcement partners.

• Coordinating with internal and external partners and stakeholders, including other ministries, agencies, and law enforcement, to arrange and conduct forensic data recovery services.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and explaining legislation and policies.
