If so, bring your technical expertise and consultation skills to the Enterprise Planning and Project Delivery Services Branch where you will be providing analysis and advice to support large scale cloud design and migration projects with the Ontario Public Service.

About the job

In this role, you will:

• Conduct cloud deployments into multiple cloud environments
• Develop cloud design and documentation, service standards and technical updates
• Conduct technical reviews and analysis of operational incidents
• Provide technical input and troubleshooting related to the resolution of system failures
• Provide technical client service and analytical services on a range of cloud projects
• Contribute to the development of technical education programs including training manuals and materials
• Prepare regular analytical reports for Manager
• Provide technical advice to staff and branch

What you bring to the team


Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining automated deployment systems
• Proven knowledge and experience with current automation/orchestration technologies including; Source Code Management, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD), configuration management, and infrastructure as Code/Scripting
• Demonstrated experience working on Container and Cloud Services
• Demonstrated experience in configuring and tuning operational telemetry dashboards and reporting modules
• Extensive knowledge in developing operational documentation for software defined network services

Analytical & Problem Solving Skills

• Ability to research, assess and understand needs of the client and business environment to provide solutions
• Proven analytical skills to conduct technical analysis and troubleshooting services
• Proven problem solving skills to contribute to solutions to aid cloud enablement/deployment projects

Consultation & Training Skills

• Proven interpersonal and consultation skills to develop/maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal clients
• Proven technical training and education techniques to participate in the development and delivery of training materials and programs

Communication & Customer Service Skills

• Proven oral communication skills to provide technical information and support to internal management/staff and external vendors
• Proven written communication skills to develop technical reports, cloud enablement/deployment and integration documentation, draft service standards, and technical updates
• Proven customer service techniques to explain technical information to a non-technical audience
