Are you a visionary leader with a passion for designing and deploying transformational infrastructure? The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement is hiring two dynamic individuals to lead the design, development, and deployment of next-generation infrastructure solutions.

About the opportunity:
As a Manager of Infrastructure Delivery, you will lead a diverse team of tech professionals, including engineers, project coordinators, and designers, to deliver high-impact projects across different portfolios and clusters. You will play a pivotal role in guiding and training staff, ensuring cohesive teamwork, and managing the end-to-end delivery of innovative infrastructure services.

In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) solutions, oversee the design and deployment of integrated infrastructure, lead research and analysis projects, provide subject matter expertise for acquiring new infrastructure elements, contribute to strategic and operational planning, and drive efficiencies in project deliveries through optimization and automation.

Deliver on Business Goals and Priorities

• Managing end-to-end delivery of Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) through the creation of solutions.
• Managing the efficient and effective conceptualization, design, development, and deployment of transformational, comprehensive, and Integrated infrastructure.
• Planning and managing research and analysis projects to provide recommendations on next generation or innovative infrastructure based on current state, emerging technology, business value, cost/benefit analysis and risk assessment.
• Leading participate in or provide subject matter expertise in the development of requests for proposals or other formal vehicles to acquire new elements of infrastructure.
• Providing input into branch and divisional strategic, business and operations plans by identifying and prioritizing Initiatives, projects, and service delivery options.
• Drive efficiencies in project deliveries by optimizing standards, patterns, and automation of services.

What you bring to the team

Leadership and management skills

• Demonstrated experience in building, inspiring, and managing high-performing teams of business and IT professionals in a fast-paced environment with multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities, policies, and resource constraints, including conflict resolution and prioritization skills.
• Proven skills in people management, managing financial budgets, and human resources, including labor relations issues and performance management, for a team of direct reports.
• Strong management skills with the ability to build effective teams by inspiring and providing feedback to staff.
• Ability to connect and foster partnerships with clients and other business partners.

Technical expertise

• Demonstrated knowledge of information technology products and services, including cloud hosting, automation, network infrastructure, architecture, data center and wide-area networks, current physical and virtual server technologies, mainframe, open-source operating systems, security tools and methods, middleware, and database technologies.
• Proven expertise in developing new business and service initiatives that meet client needs while anticipating future technological developments.
• In-depth knowledge of I&IT infrastructure patterns, including security and emerging technologies, to manage the development and implementation of reference architectures.

Program management skills

• Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and apply knowledge of financial policies and controls.
• Knowledge of procurement, purchasing, and payment processes and systems.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies to plan and manage research and analysis projects and deliver results.
• Experience working with vendors, including knowledge of contract negotiations and service level agreements.

Relationship management and communication skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver presentations, reports, recommendations, and assessments.
• Interactive skills and the ability to resolve issues with vendors and clients.
• Relationship-building skills to enable effective stakeholder relationships and improve customer service.
• Interpersonal skills to establish strong working relationships with peers, clients, and other business partners.
• Ability to negotiate the design and outcomes of projects with internal and external stakeholders.
• Political acuity and discretion when handling confidential and politically sensitive information.
