The Infrastructure Project Delivery (IPD) branch, part of the Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) division, manages and delivers infrastructure projects to stakeholder groups on time and on budget. About the job

In this role, you will:
• Manage large scale, complex, high-profile and high-risk I&IT projects to deliver on various key government priorities.
• Consult with clients, stakeholders, and senior management regarding project goals, providing advice and recommendations to ensure effective project delivery.
• Lead and guide teams of technical and business professionals in a matrix environment.
• Ensure systems are implemented according to established methodologies and meet clients' business requirements while remaining in line with budgets, schedules and scope.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project management-related artefacts.

What you bring to the team

Project Planning and Management Knowledge and Skills:

• You have extensive experience leading strategic and tactical management of concurrent large scale technology projects using various methodologies.
• You can develop project management artefacts including charters, integrated project plans, and multi-year project budgets using multiple funding channels.
• You can analyze project environments to identify and manage potential risk events and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
• You have knowledge of resource management, problem solving, quality assurance and continuous improvement.

Leadership and Resource Management Skills:

• You can plan and lead complex enterprise-wide projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• You have resource management knowledge and experience; able to estimate resource requirements, acquire project staff, supervise, and provide leadership/guidance to project teams.
• You can foster an effective working environment for staff.

Consultation, Communication and Collaboration Skills:

• You can consult with clients to identify I&IT solutions, advise on technical issues, and provide recommendations to management/staff regarding most effective system strategies.
• You can analyse and recommend innovative systems alternatives and integration approaches.
• You can develop various communication materials, such as briefing notes, presentations, and reports, and present these materials to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.

Technical Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of the technology systems life cycle including analysis, design techniques, systems development, testing and implementation to plan/manage large scale multiyear projects.
• You have knowledge of technology trends, standards, processes and strategies to direct resolution of analysis and design challenges, define project scope, ensure project compliance and system integration and that critical business objective are met.
