The Safety Program Development Branch is seeking a highly motivated individual for this challenging position where you will develop, evaluate, modify, implement and assess complex operational policies, as well as provide technical advice and liaise with staff and units within the branch, the division, the ministry, other ministries, other jurisdictions, stakeholders and the public.

About the job
In this role, you will:
• prepare and deliver presentations to ministry and industry personnel
• prepare policy reports, submissions and briefing materials to all levels of government
• reply to written correspondence
• administer, monitor and evaluate road safety programs and sub-programs to ensure that they are delivered in a uniform, effective and efficient manner
• recommend changes to existing programs or procedures
• assist in the development of new road user safety policies and procedures, awareness and training materials
What you bring to the team

• You have demonstrated experience regarding the policy development process and program evaluation techniques
• You are able to use project management methodology to plan, assess, develop, modify and implement operational proposals, policies or procedures
• You are able to interpret complex legislation, regulations, policies and procedures related to driver and vehicle programs
• You have highly developed planning skills to assess, develop, modify and implement operational proposals, policies or procedures
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• You are able to communicate in a clear and concise manner
• You can prepare and deliver presentations
• You are able to build and maintain effective working relationships
• You can prepare briefings, reports, recommendations and other formal written responses
Analytical and Research Skills
• You can research issues, policies, procedures or regulations and legislation through internal or external sources
• You are able to analyze briefings, submissions, proposals or requests from internal and external sources to estimate costs, labour and time implications

Computer Skills
