Join our team as a PeopleSoft Senior Systems Functional Analyst in the Pay and Benefits Support Branch, where you'll manage projects related to Payroll/Benefit system changes using PeopleSoft technology. You'll lead relationship management with users and stakeholders, analyze solutions, and recommend integration options. Your role will involve planning and overseeing production process changes, acting as a PeopleSoft AM module expert, reviewing new functionality requests, and providing expertise during collective bargaining. Additionally, you'll manage complex operations, advise on change management, develop workflow plans, and resolve production issues, making a significant impact on our HRIS system and supporting efficient payroll and benefit services.

The successful candidate will have the option to work out of one of the following offices:

About the job

In this role, you will:

• lead and manage projects for Payroll/Benefit system changes
• act as an expert for the PeopleSoft AM module
• review and assess new PeopleSoft functionality requests
• provide expertise during collective bargaining and HR policy settings
• manage complex Payroll/Benefit operations and services
• advise on change management and strategic direction for production changes
• develop workflow plans for Pay & Benefits production
• analyze and resolve production problems within PeopleSoft AM

What you bring to the team

Technical Skills:

You have:
• senior level expertise in large PeopleSoft HCM integrated ERP systems
• knowledge of operational linkages with other enterprise ERP systems
• expertise in PeopleSoft HCM modules, including functionality, workflow, configuration, reporting tools, integration, testing, and interfaces
• an understanding of application development and systems integration functions and processes in a large ERP implementation
• the ability to act in an 'expert' capacity for assigned modules and providing advice and consultation

Communication, Consulting and Interpersonal Skills:

You can:
• communicate effectively and cooperatively with stakeholders, facilitate consensus/problem-solving, summarize/present issues to senior management, and deliver expert-led training
• build ongoing support among clients/customers
• ensure business and service delivery needs are met
• prepare clear functional designs, business analyses and recommendations, presentations, training materials, and communications detailing application changes

Project Management Skills:

You have:
• expertise in formal system implementation and project management methodologies
• the ability to manage projects and complex multi-user groups through stages of gap analysis, design, implementation, and post-implementation support
• project management and organizational skills to plan and deliver business analysis and solutions with minimal disruption

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:

You can:
• conduct complex program identification and resolution activities and identify impact of proposed changes on the application and end-user processes
• deliver business analysis and solutions with minimum disruption to program delivery proficiency with Microsoft Office desktop applications using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
• analyze, design and test new system functionalities
• apply your knowledge of performance measures, change management, benchmarking and process renewal to support/lead business or analytical projects

Other Essential Skills:

You can:
• understand human resources functions and collective agreements and how changes to them impact corporate human resources and pay/benefits systems
• become familiar with various business processes, programs, guidelines and standards (e.g. human resources, benefits, absence management, time and labour, payroll, payroll accounting and reporting) in order to develop effective options to ensure that PeopleSoft resources meet client needs
