About the job

In this role, you will:
• provide exceptional customer service over telephone, internet and written support requests about the use of Ontario's fish and wildlife licensing service, fishing and hunting regulations and other ministry services and programs
• support the sharing of fast, accurate and professional information to members of the public, related to angling and hunting in Ontario, and a broad range Ministry of Natural Resources services, applications and programs
• provide professional and timely back-office support to ServiceOntario and private businesses providing in-person sales of Ontario fish and wildlife licences across the province
• support administrative, data entry, analysis and maintenance activities

What you bring to the team

Customer Service and Communication Skills:

• You have demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service ensuring clients' requests are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner.
• You have strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally and tactfully with the public and contribute to a team environment.
• You have proven call management and troubleshooting techniques to accurately determine nature of inquiries and respond with accurate support.

Analytical and Organizational Skills:

• You have analytical skills to source, interpret and guide clients to applicable content such as legislation, regulations, policies relating to angling and hunting in Ontario and other ministry program information.
• You can work independently and apply good judgement while working with clients including exercising appropriate discretion in handling confidential information.
• You possess organizational skills and can adapt to manage daily workload variations. You are responsive to new or changing information, technology or situations that my impact client needs.

Computer Skills and Technical Proficiency:

• You have demonstrated knowledge of computers and applications (word processing, e-mail, databases, internet searching and navigation) to complete daily responsibilities and support clients in their use and navigation of websites and an online sales service.
• You can accurately input, retrieve and maintain a large volume of client information and records in/from large, secure databases and electronic and hard copy filing systems.
