About the job

In this role, you will:
• Develop and implement strategic and business planning frameworks.
• Coordinate program reviews and develop Treasury Board proposals.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and briefing materials.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop strategies for planning, evaluation, risk management, and performance measurement.
• Manage multiple projects and performance metrics.
• Research and analyze business planning issues.
• Build and manage business relationships.
• Advise senior management on performance measures.

What you bring to the team

Business Planning Knowledge:

You have:
• Knowledge of business planning, approval processes, and strategic planning.
• Experience in performance measurement, evaluation, and risk mitigation.
• The ability to apply program evaluation theories for reviews and internal audits.

Communication and Negotiation Skills:

You can:
• Manage business relationships and provide clear instructions and advice.
• Prepare and present plans, reports, and submissions.
• Use negotiation and collaboration skills to liaise with contacts and solve business issues.

Analytical, Research and Problem-Solving Skills:

You can:
• Identify and address key issues and potential problems, and develop action plans and strategies.
• Identify trends and risks (for example: financial, political, operational, legal) for new programs and operations.
• Research and analyze business planning issues, leading practices, and methodologies.
• Analyze business requests, research options, and determine the best course of action.

Leadership and Project Management Skills:

You can:
• Lead the development of business planning submissions across program areas.
• Track projects and assess milestone completion.
• Manage concurrent projects with attention to detail.
