Demonstrate your leadership skills, program management experience, and business and financial planning skills to lead a dynamic team of staff responsible for managing various contracts related to the provision of services under the Ministry's provincial primary health care programs.

The Ministry of Health is seeking a Program Manager for the Blended Models Unit, to oversee funding service agreements with primary care physicians and to supports registration of physicians into various Primary Health Care practice models. The unit is further responsible for optimizing the performance of its physician contracts through accountability management.

As the Manager, you will:

• Oversee the contract management of designated province-wide primary health care programs, oversee collaboration with ministry and external stakeholders

• Oversee the ongoing monitoring and management of accountability agreements
• Lead and supervise the development of requests for ongoing and in-year program funding allocations
• Promote an inclusive team approach to accomplishing priorities through employee engagement, coaching, mentoring and training
• Lead and oversee partnership development and stakeholder engagements
• Provide expertise and advice to senior management and staff on program delivery options, recommendations, risks, and issues management strategies

What you bring to the team

Leadership Skills:

• You have leadership skills to inspire, engage, motivate, develop and mentor staff to deliver on results during on-going change and transformation
• You are a collaborative leader and have incorporated the principles of inclusion and diversity across all elements of your management style
• You have experience motivating and inspiring staff to achieve results in a rapidly changing environment
• You can plan and manage projects and initiatives regarding the assigned programs and provider models

Relationship Management and Communication Skills:

• You have proven experience managing complex relationships which include multiple internal/external stakeholders
• You have demonstrated political acuity and experience communicating complex and sensitive information to senior leaders
• You have exceptional written and oral communication skills to develop reports, briefings and correspondence

Technical Skills:

• You have knowledge of the health care industry, health care delivery systems, primary health care models and related funding mechanisms
• You have knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Health Insurance Act and the Personal Health Information and Protection Act
• You have experience with business and financial planning to lead the development of program funding requests

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

• You can identify and resolve complex and contentious program delivery issues
• You can provide strategic and operational advice to senior management
• You can advise senior management on contract management to ensure compliance by staff, providers and stakeholders.
