Step into an exciting role with the Office of the Worker Adviser (OWA) where you will coordinate and develop digital products to support non-unionized workers. About the job

In this role, you will:
• lead the implementation of a new secure client portal to connect OWA staff and their clients across the province
• work with OWA staff to establish and maintain an intranet using SharePoint Online
• collaborate with the OWA's Central Client Services Unit to update educational content and materials for the OWA website, outreach initiatives, and social media platforms
• act as the primary liaison between the OWA, ministry, information technology cluster, and other partners to implement, coordinate, and support IT initiatives and strategies

What you bring to the team

Digital Services Expertise:

You have:
• knowledge of trends, solutions, and best practices of systems for digital services, case management, information and knowledge management, internet, and website management
• proven ability to develop, implement, and maintain knowledge management frameworks and processes
• knowledge of systems and technology solutions, website management, current and emerging technologies in web design and internet/intranet site content management processes
• knowledge to research, plan, and design webpages
• familiarity with document publication, editing, and production processes and standards using PC-based/networked software (e.g., word processing, email, internet, graphics, and desktop publishing software)
• expertise in digital service initiatives and issues, including case management, website management and information technology and software systems

Information and Data Management:

You have:
• experience identifying information needs and leading information systems planning, implementation, and maintenance of core systems, including electronic case management systems
• knowledge of data, trend, and workflow analysis
• experience manipulating and presenting data to adapt to changing needs for thorough analysis of workflows and trends, including Open Government and Open Data requirements
• the ability to acquire knowledge of government and ministry policies and procedures related to information management, I&IT, privacy, freedom of information, Open Government and accessibility, to develop proposals and plans for digital services initiatives
• the ability to act as the lead for Freedom of Information and Privacy policy and implementation issues
• knowledge of accessibility requirements and solutions to ensure the OWA website and other tools are accessible to people with disabilities

Web Design and Technical Expertise:

You have:
• knowledge and/or experience in internet and web site management, publishing, and content management and development
• knowledge and/or experience using HTML and related web technologies and software applications, such as Adobe InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop
• knowledge of TCP/IP ports and protocols
• knowledge of communication applications, including Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 technologies
• the ability to write and edit textual content for websites and intranet

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

You have:
• analytical skills to assess communication requirements for target audiences and develop publications and communication products
• the ability to analyze and synthesize complex workflow and digital services performance data
• the ability to prepare business cases, including costing, determine and recommend best options, and prepare budgets and business plans
• the ability to manage a high volume of work, meet deadlines, and coordinate several concurrent digital services, data analysis, data reporting, knowledge management, communications, and IT projects
• a customer-services mindset, with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders
