We are currently hiring 1 ODSP manager on an 18-month contract opportunity for the Thunder Bay office located at 435 James St. S. Thunder Bay.

Deliver on Business Goals and Priorities
Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team towards the achievement of their business goals. As the ODSP Manager, you will:
• Provide leadership and direction in the establishment of a service delivery framework for programs and services.
• Provide leadership and supervision to staff within a unionized environment.
• Be a proactive and innovative leader, motivating your team and colleagues across the division to deliver exceptional results in a changing environment.
• Lead the development of local strategies and activities that is aligned with emerging priorities and government directions, compliant with relevant legislation and/or standards of performance and ensures program integrity and client service.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, financial, collective agreements and ministry policy commitments.
• Develop and manage effective linkages with community and municipal partners to promote and market the community based ODSP program.

Project Management and Analytical Skills

• You possess knowledge of project management principles and methodologies to manage the delivery of program plans, initiatives and goals.
• You have demonstrated excellent judgment, decision-making and analytical skills to evaluates the results and outcomes of delivered programs and services to identify opportunities for improvement.
• You have keen political acuity to manage sensitive and potentially high-profile cases, with an understanding of how to communicate with political stakeholders.

Technical Knowledge and Experience

• You have knowledge of human resources management, labour relations and dispute resolution processes.
• You demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and experience in existing government and/or non-government services for social assistance recipients and people with disabilities.
• You can develop knowledge and understanding of government/ ministry financial and administrative procedures.

Communication and Stakeholder Management Skills

• You have excellent negotiation, consultation, communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with various groups/stakeholders, government organizations and agencies.
• You have strong communication skills to work with clients who often have significant barriers and many with mental health issues.
• You can collaborate with branch/division colleagues on policy development, issues management, and coordination of programs.
