Are you interested in a job where you can travel, work with a supportive team, and make a real impact? As a Program Support Clerk/Driver, you'll help deliver award ceremonies across Ontario that honour volunteers, and community leaders who make a difference in their communities.

Please note: This competition will be used to create an eligibility list of qualified candidates to fill upcoming seasonal opportunities that occur within eighteen months, following the conclusion of the competition. The number of positions to be filled has not been identified at this time.

About the Branch:

The Ontario Honours and Awards Secretariat recognizes exceptional individuals who are making a difference in the community, the province and the world by leading the delivery of Ontario's honours and awards, including fostering inclusive and vibrant communities through its volunteer recognition programs.

About the job

In this seasonal role, you'll support the planning and delivery of award ceremonies across the province. You'll travel to different communities, often a new city each week, and help ensure each event runs smoothly from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

• driving a van with event materials to ceremony locations
• setting up stages, displays, and reception areas
• welcoming guests, handing out name tags and certificates, and assisting during the ceremony
• preparing and organizing program materials, mailouts, and supplies
• answering phone calls and responding to general questions about the awards
• entering and updating nomination information in a database
• keeping files and records organized and up to date
• working closely with your team to solve problems and support successful events

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys active, hands-on work, collaborating with others, and contributing to meaningful community recognition. You'll gain valuable experience in event coordination, public service, and teamwork, while helping celebrate the best of Ontario.
