Are you passionate about safety, risk management, and making a difference in the justice sector? We're looking for a skilled and dedicated Senior Security Advisors to help protect our people, facilities, and operations across Ontario.

About the job

As a Senior Security Advisor, you'll lead security initiatives, respond to incidents, and provide expert advice to ensure the safety of ministry staff and justice officials. You'll work closely with internal and external partners to build a secure and resilient environment.

What You'll Do
• Lead the development and implementation of ministry-wide security programs and policies
• Conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports and recommendations
• Assess risks and develop strategies to reduce threats and improve safety
• Deliver security training and presentations to staff and stakeholders
• Build strong relationships with law enforcement and justice sector partners

What you bring to the team


Mandatory:

• The position requires the successful candidate to have a valid G license or equivalent. The offer of employment is conditional upon the successful candidate providing proof that they have a valid driver's license upon being hired.

Security & Investigation Expertise

You have:

• Experience conducting thorough, ethical investigations with attention to detail and integrity
• A solid understanding of security protocols, threat assessments, and risk mitigation strategies
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Criminal Code and the Community Safety and Policing Act (CSPA), and how it applies to justice sector security

Communication & Relationship Skills

You can:

• Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and in presentations
• Build trust and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with diplomacy

Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities

You can:

• Analyze complex and evolving situations to identify risks and recommend practical solutions
• Manage multiple cases and adjust plans as needed
• Provide clear, evidence-based advice and reports

Technical & Operational Knowledge

You are:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and case management systems
• Skilled at reviewing and analyzing social media platforms for security-related content
• Able to understand and improve operational processes to support program delivery
