To succeed in this role, you will:
• Establish and lead a new team of data professionals focused on property tax and assessment data validation.
• Oversee the analysis and verification of large-scale datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with legislation.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve data discrepancies and support municipal tax processes.
• Develop and implement quality assurance processes to support ongoing data integrity and operational excellence.
• Build a strong team culture and ensure staff are trained and equipped to deliver high-quality results.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance data processes and tools.
Meet Your New TeamThe Property Tax Services Partnerships Branch is responsible for services that support municipalities' property tax calculations. The branch ensures the accuracy and compliance of property tax data used by municipalities across the province, helping them deliver essential services to Ontarians.
What you bring to the team
Leadership Experience:
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing, inclusive teams in complex, data-driven environments.
• Strategic mindset with experience shaping team culture, driving performance, and aligning operations with organizational goals.
• Demonstrated success in recruitment, onboarding, and capacity building.
Analytical & Technical Acumen:
• Strong foundation in data management, quantitative analysis, and quality assurance.
• Ability to lead a team of specialists to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Skilled in designing and overseeing data validation processes that ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational integrity.
Communication and Relationship Management Skills:
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with internal teams, municipalities, and external stakeholders.
• Experience navigating diverse stakeholder environments and resolving complex data issues with clarity and diplomacy.
• Adept at preparing high-quality reports and documentation to support informed decision-making.
