The Labour Relations Solutions Division is looking for performance-driven and innovative professionals to bring their proven expertise in any of the following areas to the role of Senior Analyst:
• Low-code software (e.g. Salesforce) and/or web development
• Data analytics and visualizations
• Digital and business process transformation utilizing AI/machine learning, robotic process automation
• Project management utilizing methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Lean
• UX/content design and technical writing

About the job

In this role, you will:
• Drive digital transformation initiatives while applying a user-centric lens
• Develop innovative solutions that optimize the client experience and optimizes business processes
• Provide reporting solutions, analytical expertise, and technical leadership for data mining and reporting initiatives within the ministry, across the OPS and to external stakeholders
• Provide project leadership and expertise in the planning and execution of the design, analysis, implementation and reporting of all client-facing labour relations services and program data
• Lead and conduct user research and user experience sessions that support client-centric delivery of digital, public-facing solutions

What you bring to the team


Technical knowledge and skills:

You have experience with the following:
• I&IT technologies/trends, databases, object-oriented and web programming
• Low-code/no-code platform development, business intelligence and business analysis software/tools/methodologies, data stores
• Business process design to leverage automation toolsets and process improvement methodologies
• Generative artificial intelligence, machine learning and/or robotic process automation

Analytical and research skills:

You have:
• Knowledge of principles and methods of quantitative and qualitative research and analysis methodologies, including the use of computer systems and software
• Ability to undertake analysis of trends, system modelling, and evaluation of best practices, options, costs, and impacts
• Knowledge of theories, principles, and methodologies of research, and statistical analysis techniques to design, conduct, and consult on research projects and issues, and interpret statistical information
• Ability to design and conduct program evaluations and support the accurate reporting of performance data

Project management and leadership skills:

You can:
• Demonstrate knowledge of project management techniques to plan and lead complex business-led digital service delivery and data reporting projects
• Provide technical guidance to teams and divisional staff in the application of sound analytical methodologies and resolve technical problems/issues
• Provide project coordination and guidance to the team of coordinators, management, external consultants, stakeholders and clients for implementation of the project across the province
• Provide advice and change management expertise to senior management and stakeholders on project status, and business processes

Relationship management and communication skills:

You are able to:
• Develop documentation on functional business requirements, high-level project plans, and mapping of business processes
• Present technical business proposals to senior management
• Draft AODA-compliant communications and content for a variety of audiences, including senior management, internal staff, and external stakeholders
• Coordinate and host meetings regarding business analysis, project development, and implementation
• Conduct virtual and in-person presentations with external stakeholders promoting labour relations services provided by the Ministry
• Act as the key liaison with I&IT to discuss, and provide advice and guidance on, business requirements, user acceptance testing, and deployment

Business knowledge:

You have knowledge of:
• Provincial labour relations legislation and other jurisdictions' labour legislation and an understanding of its application
• Provincial and ministry strategic direction and financial, administrative and procurement policies
• Government decision-making and accountability frameworks, including the role of the central agencies, business planning processes, program monitoring and reporting, and allocation processes
