To succeed in this role, you will:
- Oversee the coordination of ministry-wide forecasting, in-year expenditure management, and financial reporting to support quarterly and year-end fiscal planning.
- Develop and deliver briefings, analysis, and financial tools to support executive decision-making and ministry accountability.
- Contribute to the implementation of new enterprise-wide financial systems and tools that enhance forecasting and planning capabilities.
- Lead issues management, including coordinating audit responses and other requests related to financial matters.

Meet Your New TeamYou will be part of the senior management team within the Financial Management Branch. The branch supports the Ministry of Health by overseeing financial planning, forecasting, transfer payment administration, and in-year financial management. The branch plays a critical role in delivering financial services that support Ontario's health care system.

Helder Marcos, Director of the Financial Management Branch. Helder has 20 years experience in the Ontario Public Service in both line ministry and central agency roles. - Expertise in reviewing financial and operational processes to identify challenges and design innovative, sustainable improvements.
- Track record in leading business process improvements, system transformation initiatives, and operational redesign projects.
- Competence in planning, coordinating, and managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables.
